St. Coleman

Today's St. Coleman Catholic Church was originally named Our Lady of the Assumption. The church's beginnings go back to the 1950s when the St. Augustine Diocese purchased 12 acres along Federal Highway in Pompano Beach.

A fundraising drive was begun in 1958 to build a church and parish school. The current church building replaced the original and was constructed in the 1980s.
